Vision's Verily Vicious Circumference

Vision's Verily Vicious Circumference

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Vision's Verily Vicious Circumference

it's a pitch blue sky
black to my eye
too dark for the clouds to appear
in fascist gray

the day
awaits closure
thieves steel the azure
the world in fissure

separates in tone
hurt and anger toss the stone
a grave opens
but no one emerges

even he resists the temptation to rise
when again is in such chaos
prayer becomes a hard rain
Dylan is searching another color

while the world is tangled up
in its own greedy hate
conflict creating
a more complicated "Twist of Fate"

suffering, destruction, the bombs
all done with such aplomb
it's shown every night on the news
and now we all got the blues

but only a shattered canopy
a spoiled canvas
an artist's nightmare
a deluge of suffering

a cumulative cumulus
an aborted resurrection
an ironic ascension
into this manmade hell.

I wish there was a vaccine we could give the whole world. It would be anti=hate. Yes, the nightly news is quite depressing lately. It is absolutely a "manmade hell" out there. "Pitch blue sky" is such a great phrase. Jacob, your poetry is always excellent. Even the alliteration of your title is super. Lydi**

Well said. As our friend oncee said "a hard rain's gonna fall" ... even He wouldn't venture out into this maelstrom of hate. The genie is out of the bottle.

Good one j.

Thank you, Ted...yes , it is.
dear Jacob… there seems to be dark clouds that Hate Spring and Flowers; however, the Rain will Cover the Ground and Red headed Woodpeckers will form a Band high in the Trees to Celebrate Spring. … softly, Pat
