a gentler winter wind

a gentler winter wind

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a gentler winter wind

We have similar dreams

but drastically different themes

eyelids flutter with passion

that escapes us

when they are open

to hold the gaze

of amaze-

meant

If only we could meet and conjoin

in restful conclusion

a paradise of mind

the tree of wisdom

planted for only us

knowledge abounds

in leaves of serene

I loved you before we passed through the gate

now I want to wake

to find your hand reaching for mine

and the tree matured enough

for our thoughts to rustle

to breathe nightfall

in perfect sync.

Wonderful piece of writing. A wish for the waking dream to be, in the flesh gazing back

That heavy longing is so raw and beautiful here. The way dreams bleed into reality and make that yearning nearly tangible. Amazing job :)

Oh to rekindle a love or a special friendship lost. To relive that moment again and again but the stylus is stuck, the song is over and the memory is repeating, hauntingly playing for a solution gathering dust.

There are some that dreams are truly made of and to dream of those few is the most wonderful thing of all. Without our dreams what would have, reality and sadly, reality can be pretty ugly at times. Your poem my friend is flawless in its theme and flows brilliantly.

you're very welcome.
It seems the passion is only allowed to thrive in dreams, such a shame Jacob, when you awake she isn't there.
Unrequited love hurts sometimes...

With a wink of Wisdom we walked by the Garden where the Lion and the Lamb lay side by side in Paradise. Amen…!Pat

I like the concept of a tree of wisdom planted just for two. Nice. ~Jim

Winter wind is cold, even the gentler type. This whole poem feels chilly to me and yet the words tell me that there is a longing for warmth. For a rekindling of embers. Young love maybe that didn’t survive. This is beautiful j. Read several times. Your stanzas touched me.
