Holy crap, what a return to yesteryear this piece inspired in me ... As a teen, I had a crush on this neighbor girl and wanted to date her ... She seemed to be the prettiest thing ... Finally, I got my wish ... Took her to the drive inn movie ... had a decent time ... took her home, as she lived right across the street, and kissed her good night ... You know she is never meant for you, when your mind tells you that she kissed you like a dead fish ... LOL! ... And that, was the end of that ...

Dead fish don't jump out of the car on dates either, they just flop onto the pavement.

In a flash it was all over!

This can be a good read in Senryu too? I have been thinking way too much on those lines recently.. lol.

Happy weekend!

Well, some of them go south quicker than others. Not sure what it was about that first kiss, but lying lips are grounds for rejection.

Long time since I kissed (except someone's pet cat - or was it a dog?), but, hey! Seeing the amusement annulled can be, er, amusing. Nice thoughts here, J.

Don't you just hate when the carnival pulls up stakes before you can enjoy the full impact of what it offers, or perhaps, what it advertises? Nice one Jacob.

This one hits a little close to home ... eyes lie and lips lie, but kisses seldom do. ~Jim

There's nothing worse than a limp kiss with no conviction. Especially if it's the first.
