Rhetorically Speaking

Rhetorically Speaking

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Rhetorically Speaking
took a seminar on depression
learned to love to live
living on the edge
on the verge
of getting well
on living to love
a peaceful mind
explodes into sudden
articulation
writes words of chaos
hypnotically
ironically
suicide by pen
by type
the keys are voices
shouting in tandem
when the seminar is over
did we pass
or pass.

It is quite curious isn't it, John?
thank you.
Dear j,

living on the edge
on the verge

of getting well

a seminar on depression isn’t the same as having to live with it. I can’t write at all when I feel below par.

You always pass with flying colours my friend. Always ….

Where most of us live. Loved the last line "did we pass or pass" great play on double meaning in the English language.

One can’t answer a rhetorical question however one has to get the best out of life when one can, where one can.
