goodbye to the goodbye

goodbye to the goodbye

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

goodbye to the goodbye

the cliff approaches

the engine stalls

Thelma and Louise would be proud

but then a door opens to the same world

the room looks somehow different

in the rearview mirror

as I walk from the edge.

Don't drive too fast! You may just go over the cliff. This does rather create a weird thought, and a decision to decide against what we decided to decide earlier. Good old Thelma and Louise (and it's a long time since I saw that movie). If I look into a mirror, I can't see myself. Nice poem, J.

Thank you, Santa...:)
I remember that movie well J.
Walk away from the edge, I am thinking. Not the best solution. Powerful imagery. Life and possible death within a breath. Tomorrow is a new day. Yes, say goodbye to the goodbye and hello new day.
