![]() What Lives inside UsA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoWhat
Lives inside Us the
catastrophic lies breed
phobia's mass intentions we
insinuate and
madness perpetuates it
surrounds us like a moat keeping
happy surrender at bay love
is a cornice visible
only to the ghosts of freedom we
imprison ourselves in
greed, power, unholy wars the
charismatic leaders slain the
world is blood red our
castles become our cells and
then we disappear into
an elegant vanishing as the
drawbridge raises and
our existence is sealed. erin-cilberto 11/26/23 © 2023 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
