This bring back recent memories of the slaughter at the border of Israel and West Bank wher thousands of innocent kids enjoying a concert were gunned down within a few moments; their bodies bleeding, most of them without breath…..a life lost quickly, one moment alive, the next dead and ….so young….. nice poetic portrayal……warmly, B

A tough one to write and I appreciate your words, Betty,

The children suffer. It is beyond tragic. We want a safe place for our children to grow and learn. It comes to this. All war is futile, yet we never learn. Our species have a long history of warfare. Such a painful poem to read dear J. So expertly penned.

A gut-wrenching poem...One that makes the heart bleed. I wish I could take the place of one of those kids so he or she may live. Life is being treated so casually in this world. This poem will stay with me.

Amazing analogy of terror .. where Souls are sent to a place where Grace is given .. meanwhile we live in fear and agony…
Is there no end to Madness out of Control. A Cross to Bear… and wear in deepest Prayer. Amen… Pat

doesn't seem to be an end in sight.
Thank you, Pat,

A sad tragedy of wars since time immemorial with revenge and counter revenge, considering the other side unhuman and animals to justify their wicked hearts and genocide.
Long story.
Long live Jacob!

All true and well said. You are welcome sir Jacob.
It is a sad, sad world of intolerence and bigotry. And we have learned nothing. Or perhaps that is our natural state? Whichever this is thoughtful and beautiful. It gives me some small hope.

It is hard to fathom the evil that exists in this day and age. It's harder still to see that there are those who turn their heads and close their ears to the screams on the other side of the street. You do justice to this tragic story in most jarring, yet profound way.
