The human elements are most withdrew in the work, implying that both those who cast the misfortunes and those who endure them, are drowned out by the inhumane elements. In war, do people seemingly become more savage? I think not, but the truth is, many had to succumb to the inhumane nature of the organizations, governments and political forces far greater than themselves, thus dehumanizing them into puppets stuck to the strings. In war, casualities should never lose meaning, the numbers shouldn't be just numbers, by understanding the lives lost, the potential future, happiness and satisfaction those lives could've achieved for themselves and how the world would've been with them... Then we may mourn.
The stark contrast between the seen and unseen elements and the way they complement each other are what make Senryu most renown as an art of expression.
A well-written tragedy, author Jacob. And I wished... such tales could have been just "tragedy", fiction.

fiction...well maybe we will one day wake up from all of this finding out it was just a nightmare..... read more
A senryu of deep sorrow. Our world today. People persecuted. Thousands dying. History repeating itself. So much to think about when those walls crumble J.

The world is in bad shape right now. Antisemitism is at an all time high and it is scary. When we said, "Never again!" this is what we were afraid of. You really packed a lot into three lines, Jacob. Lydi**

Walls crumble from bombs. With them crumble so many souls. This is so truly sad, my friend. Let's say a prayer for them.
