PatternsA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoPatterns wrapped
in Pendleton she
curls around an
array of leaves in
unaccustomed colors where
the breeze gently lifts
the quilt of maple leaning October
genuflects before her photo as if
she were some mythical queen out of
a Shakespeare sonnet yet,
she was just a mother a blue
collar mother pinching
a moment of
serenity while
the leaves agreed and
turned just
for her. erin-cilberto 10/28/23 © 2023 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
