A missed opportunity there, the speaker seems to reminisce fondly of what could have been, with just a very slight hint of regret. It was one of those touch and go things that almost happened. Loved your style of saying it.

I think breakfast might have been awkward after a drunken night and the unused napkin and the number speaks to me of a hasty retreat. Probably best in the light of day. The napkin? Bin it I think:) I found this amusing, but then my humour can be a bit weird:)

I wonder whether the number was valid:) maybe she put a couple of duff digits in there to make sure there was no future connection. Maybe there was a temptation to try it. I wonder?
