Thank you for sharing another of your often mercurially imaginative notions in wonderfully creative word art.
Perfect title and lines in monorhyme, sandwiched between present, past, and future recurrently unforgettable moments.
But, what a laudabally appealing way of painting it all cleverly to life with the medium of words.
I always enjoy your skilled pencraft … thank you, Jacob! ⁓ Richard🖌
There would have been a time for such a word. We, the lighted fools rush at our petty pace right past love having never seen it until we stop to remember what we missed.

Jacob,
Elegance is always simple, and easy to understand...
What a universal theme is love as "La Belle Dame Sans Merci." And the older I get, the more real the sentiment. So many I've loved are gone except when they peak from behind a door in a closet I've hidden in some secluded corner of my brain-box, and their light leaks out. It is a saddness that when I too am gone for good, they will disappear forever.

Same with me....many are gone now...but I still love them and think of them often.

This is an enduring kind of love. One that doesn't distinguish between yesterday today or tomorrow. It marches steadily upon the time scale. We know and accept and learn to live with that love. A universe packed in your few, beautifully chosen words.

I wonder why we do distinguish in the first place...it causes us to extinguish.

A wonderful piece of brevity J. Tells a story of someone who still has a hold on your heart and probably always will. Maybe this one ended far too soon and not because there was a falling out. Beautiful piece. Stirs the imagination.
This was a nice poem….. until I hit that word “tomorrow” then it was spectacular! I really liked the way you played with the past and future to convey the depth of this unrequited love. It was short but profound.
