love clouded
my judgement but
the jury saw through you They
found you guilty on two
counts: deceit conceit thinking
you were elite and I
was of poor, vulnerable heart your
sentence is to
write five poems of
apology to
include in an anthology by all
of the women who
poemed a man pervading persuading inviting alighting then deceiving perceiving the
conquer met it was
time to let her
heart be freed from the boredom find
freedom from the humdrum life
she perceived yet
she was the one deceived because
his heart was pure and he
was the cure for
her restless allure to
search for what she would never find the
jury were aligned and
settled on the verdict "We
find the defendant worthy of being
loved, and we order her to
write one
more poem expressing her love for him and do
commitment service until
