tears implyA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertotears
imply the
shadow breathes I
don't I hold
it until clouds scream for an
exhale incapable lips
cannot open I have
fallen upon my sword the
writing is exciting until the stab wound quenches
the word thirst the
ink pours from the cut with
read amazement until
the shadow leaves and
the poem hides
its eyes from the sun as it
dries to the page silencing
the clouds in
gauzy hush. erin-cilberto 7/11/23 © 2023 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
