My tribute to honor the Titan was a senyru, and somehow fails in comparison to this. Such an extraordinary piece of work, Jacob! This is what I refer to as "poetry with a pulse".

Her real name is Viola...I named her after Gwenyth Paltrow's character in Shakespeare in Love. Remember? sHe had to be Henry in order to get the part of Romeo in his play.
So, she is Hank for short. The really Twilight Zone aspect of this is that the day I got Hank, she picked me. I was holding another kitty to take home and Hank jumped on my shoulder and said take me. At the shelter they give the kittens temporary names...the one I was holding in my arms to take home was named Gwenyth....spooky eh?

I believe cats and dogs are sensitive to people and situations like that, they just know. And I'd be willing to bet she doesn't even mind being called, Hank! Good one, J. Thanks for sharing!
Tragic. How many times do we leave home unaware that death was only a step or a block away? Those divers understood the possibility of dying during their dive into the deep. But I'll bet that in their final moments, they'couldn't have envisaged that death was a breath away. People die for different reasons. We are angry at the loss and we blame those whom we think should have been more responsible. However we also understand that death sometimes leave the most careless and takes away the innocent and the most circumspect.

It took one second of ear-splitting sounds and then silence and the pieces were scattered on the ocean floor; a disaster of the worst kind; with prior warnings that it wasn't safe enough; now it lays like pieces of dust...floating beneath the ocean's currents; yes, this tragedy will be remembered like the Titanic's exhibit in NY.

dear Jacob... the song, "Nearer my God to thee" was played as
lovely people prayed... We all will sleep some day...
in Waves of Heart-beats ... thinking of the Poet Keats and others
who inspired so many with their Gift of love and devotion.
gently, Pat
