ThiefA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoThief the
gems of justice tarnished
jewels confiscated
and replaced with
counterfeit amazement diamonds
once pure cut to
the quick serrated
edges cut the legal system in odd
sketches like
poor plays that
sound good to a blind audience the
jurors will be folded into
his pocket Location
of the stolen property that
once showed a balance of truth the
judge is connected to the sentence a
dangling participle with
leanings let us
proceed there
is the greater good of the country to
aspire as we
threaten to hire a madman and
liar to
lead us into oblivion even
worse than the smithereens we
have already seen. erin-cilberto 6/14/23 © 2023 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
