so many things

so many things

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

so many things

love is a fixture,

a knick-knack in bloom

a conversation piece

when shattered,

swept up into a cloud of yesterday's

tears ready to storm

replaced with a rebound

from the pawn shop

of close ties

none that match the suits

worn after the stain of heartbreak

makes them unwearable

Love is considered here as a knick knack, something of little value in bloom which then shatters. How fragile. How easily broken. This whole poem is a wardrobe of sadness dear J.

I do understand this poem Jacob.
"none that match the suits
worn after the stain of heartbreak
makes them unwearable"
The above lines are movies to me. I don't like the old movie that remind me of yesterday sadness. Hello my friend and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
