Celebration

Celebration

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Celebration

the raft splurged on the champagne

just before the cork was pulled

and a resolute life

drained from its reaches

and capsized.

This is no celebration J. It appears to be a disaster. A raft in troubled waters. Maybe a metaphor for a relationship doomed to fail. This one is a puzzler dear J.

Pleased I read you well J.
The celebration seems doomed...It was all over before it even began. The quest should have been one of survival rather than celebration. A raft should save first. An interesting poem.

You are most welcome. :)
Feel like a Titanic story Jacob. I would be the cook with the high class whiskey floating in the sea in a inner tube. Maybe true, maybe lies. Only two survived drinking and waiting for their death. A interesting poem. I wanted to know more.
