flagship brilliantA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoflagship
brilliant the rain
sounds especially harsh tonight the
drops are pelting not
simply falling window's
wicked framing a
storm's slide lit by a bolt of lightning pictures
of eerie landscape branches
fallen in disarray gutters
overflowing in rivers of debris the
little boat I am floating in the puddle is
capsizing the
captain calls for the twigs to pray rampant
waves of flooded language poems
evicted from clouds the
pages may never recover some
wish they had not survived the deluge some
just don't remember if it rained. erin-cilberto 4/20/23 © 2023 jacob erin-cilbertoFeatured Review
