establishment wins
peace marches into gray sky
touching a damp cloud

dearest Jacob... it has been a long time to Mourn for our Country.
Many (millions) of us are in Shock that this could happen (with no checks and
balances). It is truly Madness. Our President "playing as though he is an Actor in a horror movie"...
treats us like we are all Fools-- when He and others have caused many lives to be disrupted and damaged beyond repair. God help us all. Such a shame that a Retired General could not "Run" for President. He would know how to be Straight-forward and Protect our Country. As ever, Pat

The establishment always wins. Peace is hard to imagine these days. Everyone in their corners ready for the boxing match. Not sure peace is of interest these days. Great write..

One Senryu deserves another. Honesty is sin/where politicians gather/to practice their lies.

yes, true.
But we are part of that establishment. When we lose, they lose. It is said that our country is so marginalized now. There is no more "middle of the road." Lydi**

My heart just dropped. Establishment does win and media distorts the truth. Peace is further away than ever for the dreamers. Passing by on a drifting cloud in a sky of greys.

Thank you Chris for understanding it all...

I feel like the clouds are damp with tears for the past and if we could just work together we could clear the skies. Nice form jacob. The foibles of man are found in the establishment.

i think they definitely are, Bill...
yes.
Nice little hand grenade of a poem, Jacob,
The most interesting part of the last few years is the absolute betrayal of the values my generation established for itself. Peace, Love, and Rock-n-roll, has been turned into riots, hate, and angry rap. Friends of mine who came to maturity as hippies now support big government, believe everything the media tells them, and are unable to discuss anything without wanting to cut you off forever... damp clouds, indeed!
How sad.
