A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

circle

i am the restless conduit

purveyor of poems

that come from sky thoughts

and wrap around me like

the rings of Saturn

in a bleak galaxy

trying to find its way

to a moonglow

comfort

light on the side

facing me

facing my keys

moving my fingers

before day

breaks the pattern.

I really like the idea that poems come like sky thoughts, wrapping around you like the rings of Saturn. I also quite like the thought that I am not alone in day breaking the pattern.
