Hi, I am...

Hi, I am...

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Hi, I am...

my words joined group therapy

introduced themselves

received the usual greetings

spoke of their shortcomings

took turns being embarrassed

then took a seat

as the latest poem

received its token

of sobriety from

another heart addicted

to a bottle of tears.

Hi, I am...
Seriously wishing I came up with that "Addicted to a bottle of tears" ending. It's enough to drive a man to...aww, who am I kidding? It's only Ribena in a wine glass, to make me look like a proppered growed up!

thank you, Lorry,
j.
I simply can not fathom your words being embarrassed by anything or anyone:/ But then I come from the school of thought that all reviews are true reviews and what someone sees is authentic regardless of the author's intent the essential ingredient is that the intent be true to the heart of the writer and the review be true to the heart of the reader:) Keep those keystrokes rolling old friend

Oh, I can and they often have been, but thank you for your kind words, brother bunny.
Very cool. I like how your words have taken on a life of their own, even if it is a life in therapy. Your ideas and imagination leave you standing apart from the herd. (I was going to use crowd but herd rhymed with word so...) Nice one Jacob

Pick up the pen folks, not the bottle.
Excellent poem and message.
