It would be a different world if it happened. If only mankind wasn't cursed with war. I suppose we'll never get there. It was wonderful to explore though.

yes, it is a terrible curse...must be lifted.
thanks, divya,

There is sadness between the lines, the futile hope of wishing mankind was different. I wish the same; unfortunately, in this life, I know it will never be different. As always, you are masterful with your writing, Jacob.

Man’s end is taking his last step and war is certainly accelerating this event. I can only imagine all poets becoming famous after we are dead but there’s no body left to read their works. Imagine if all bad leaders just went away.

that is true, nobody left to read us...all gone.

I can't think of a single war that was or is "just", even the holy war is not just, not when it breaks the very core of the covenant half way between one and ten.

i'll have to look those up :D glad to see you are well enough to hold your pen.
I think John Lennon would have approved of you, Jacob. It's not the imagine I speak of but the imagination behind it. This took me back to 1970 or thereabouts. The best of times and the worst of times.

I would like to imagine a world with more poets and less warmongers. Let’s give up the bombs of mass destruction and write far more of love and happiness. I wouldn’t miss the noise one bit. Imagine a world without warfare. What a beautiful thought.

I loved the poetry Jacob. My wish too.
"would society miss the noise
the poise
of bombs aimed in ruthless pursuit"
The above lines. It is the question. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
