and then...

and then...

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

and then...

the eggplants are shimmering in the frosted

sunscreen

high-definition droplets

on the shivering plants

the lazy daffodils droop drearily

the cold spring bitter

from last summer's unwelcome intrusion

storm rains burst on to the scene

havoc wreaked with damaging deluge

a flood of anger

spring wants its time

dare to muscle it out with calm skies

it will reply.

Seems as if spring is a bit perturbed this year....what do they say about messing with Mother Nature?
Nice one my friend.

dear Jacob… we have a Hyacinth in bloom and a Bud on our Rose bush… but then the Cardinals bring Luck to every season… and even the Seagulls pray and get answers. Awesome poetry with a style and your famous smile. Bless your 💜 Heart… always, Pat

Gee
Winter does seem to be dragging its cold, ice caked heels this year. For me spring gets the short straw as it seems to come ever later to be replaced by summers that are ever early, doesn't seem that she now has her allotted time.
Hope you are recovering well Jacob

on a more positive note we have been able to go out the front door, slide across the front deck, across the driveway and right up to the vehicle with only a slight hop up then necessary to get inside the vehicle

I loved these words.....

The seasons seem to have an agenda of their own. The spring seems so bitter indeed and so formidable. I shudder to think of the consequences, if anything or anyone provoke it further. It will reply and how!

There is such drama in Nature.
