That said, Jacob, both politicians and poets are skilled communicators who are adept at using language to achieve their goals. Whether they are crafting a persuasive speech or a beautiful poem, they are both capable of using words to elicit strong emotions and influence others. However, agreed that the intentions and motivations behind their communication are often quite different.

Yes, quite different. Thank you for your visit, Alla,

Obviously you need some assistance from AI. Chatgpt thing or whatever it's called. Your artificial intern can spin your speeches into pure poetic hyperbole. I would be very curious to know if there is an orator who happened to be a poet as well and included verse in his speeches. Probably have to go back a couple centuries for that kind of fun

unfortunately our students know what that is, and they are using it. Much to our chagrin as teachers.. read moreunfortunately our students know what that is, and they are using it. Much to our chagrin as teachers.
I think most poets are shy about orating their poetry.
thank you, William.

hahaha!! ..... more truer words have never been said. 👍👍👍
i think politicians should be part-time except the prime minister & none should be paid.
none want to be accountable for their decisions & they all obfuscate.

A most truthful assessment of politicians vs poets where people believe the politicians represent them. They should know those movers and shakers are moved by power, money, greed, lobbies, big corporations, foreign donors. Sad but true.
They want others to fight their wars.
They sure don't represent the working man and woman.
What are politicians but men or women who line their deep pockets with our money. They mostly make hard decisions on the economy that don’t effect their bank balances. I loved the sarcasm behind this, it’s so true lol. Really enjoyed this one I’m still smiling.
President Biden boasted in a speech today he had "created" twelve "thousand" new jobs since he took office. He failed to mention the seventeen "million" jobs lost due to the "pandemic". He failed to mention all the business closings. He failed to mention the highest national deficit ever or the highest national debt ever. He failed to mention spending over seven trillion dollars since taking office. So I think, as a politician, it's not so much about what you "say" as your ability to conveniently leave important things out and not mention them at all. But poets are generally sticklers for details.
