I guess every journey is worthwhile, no matter the missed exits along the way. Sometimes getting lost leads us to a better destination - the whole unanswered prayers sort of thing. I always appreciate your stripped-down perspective on things. I am so glad that you have returned.
I haven't left my state in five years. I don't like airports and I don't like driving no-more. I still use the old maps. Daughter force me use google now. I need a road trip Jacob. I enjoyed the poetry and I hope you are feeling good. Winter is back in Michigan again.

I don't know about others, but for myself, I spent too much time looking around and admiring the wrong things and not paying attention to the road ahead.
Funny, I posted a map related poem as well this morning. Though, I like yours better. I always enjoyed using one of those atlases when traveling but when going to places of the heart, they never seemed to lead me to the correct destination.

Reading this makes me think of a time I hadn’t camera gear and heading to a nature photo shoot. I missed the exit and drove miles to the next exit to turn around. The photo God’s took me to an abandoned building that was absolutely beautiful!

I really like abandoned buildings, and imagining when there was activity there...

Tire imagery pervades this one, specifically retreads, which have been down the road before. Sounds like another rough ride, what with those potholes. Also, the happiness exit was missed. Next time, try Michelins.
Those thoughts move along quite swiftly as only a few words do, jacob. They send thoughts ahead of this driver on the way to love Thinking as carefully as can, gues it depends on who is in the driving seat. Your words are quite a mystery tour, needing to think more! Is so good to read you again. :)
