it's my title and I'll cry if I want to

it's my title and I'll cry if I want to

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

it's my title and I'll cry if I want to
the gavel drops
a shattered influence
a soul sold into the slavery
of submissive, dismissive
salary
the pay is under the table
the room has bandits
a savored sojourn
soured over days
in the bosom of discontent
repetitive allowances
and counting evidence
of movement
stalemates make unstable
bed mates
and decisions will be tarnished secrets
where is America?
I remember it back when
I stood in front of her
with proud salute
now I bring flowers
to spend at her grave
I heard that gavel
as I took a last look
and then walked away
holding hands with a tear.

I should probably stay out of this one but...status quo is easy to agree on...change is difficult. Just my opinion.
Still, your work is something that I am sure we would all easily agree on that it is fantastic.

Holding a Tear… as we wonder how our Country can survive the Invasion of Evil. Today on January 8, we had frigid Rain and snow … as we gathered friends and family for faith and harmony. tenderly. Pat

"You would cry too, if it happened to you." I recall the song but not who sang it. I may be wrong, but I sense this one is about the circus surrounding the election of the Speaker of the House. Yes, stalemates do make unstable bed mates, and I believe the real bickering has yet to begin. "Tarnished secrets" and reputations to match.

yes, what a mess...thank you, John...and it was Lesley Gore.
The value of the flag has dropped in value and where is Uncle Sam? We use to be proud and unified nations standing for all things good. We use to have the australian way of living, helping each other, respecting each other and the introduction of multiculturalism has fractured this idealolgybecause as a whole we haven't integrated together but live as separate groups in an air of unease which has weakened our unification of looking out for each other. This is where the write took me.
