90 minutes

90 minutes

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

90 minutes

loving you

               slightly interrupted

a mere pause

a pulse's indiscretion

but the brain continues to infer

as it always has

I would love you with

or without

a heart.

Now that is definitely love to the extreme. To be able to love without a heart...that is very special my friend. : )

Okay, but the 90 minutes I don't really understand.

Ah, I didn't know that.
This poem is such a beautiful expression of love. Simple and clear, love is, with or without a heart. Always in awareness.

thank you for your words, DIVYA,
j.
This reads to me like you would love someone even if it was not returned back
Or that you would love someone even when their heart had long stopped
Very good thanks for this

One skip of a heart beat plus the attraction leads to a clouded mind. There’s always a pecking order the heart falls in love and the mind judges.

Really like this one J. The heart may skip a beat, it may pause but that doesn’t mean the brain isn’t functioning.

mine never functioned that well to begin with.
thank you, Chris,

line 2 skipped a beat - just like the speker's heart...how ingenious!
this poem elevates love to a level that is not completely dependent on a physical body, but transcends it - which makes so much sense, actually. love it!
