is the ending the end, or...

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

is the ending the end, or...

we apologize to the myth

of God

or maybe he really exists

and our penance

subjects us to less pain in the end

maybe the white light

will be little darker early on

then let us see our way

to the next level

like a free elevator rising to the top floor

then we might worry about falling off of heaven

wuthering heights

can be as scary as Hades....

and beware of the dog.

Hail, Jacob, my Free Thinking friend and esteemed Poet! ... 'Tis true that the art of Free Thinking, open mindedness, and impartial objectivity is truly demonstrating itself for reals within each and every word of this majestic call for sobriety of the heart and mind for all Humanity ... Brave ...~

Who knows what comes next dear J. None of us can be sure. I am not a fan of organised religion, but there again I can’t be sure there isn’t a heaven either.

Cerberus is nothing to be scoffed at, even Hercules had his difficulties with him before subduing him. A very timely write for this season.

Such an imaginative poem on the afterlife.
The possibilities are infinite and we'll never really know.
Penance may help reduce the pain. Religion may just be just an anesthetic but I'm in all the way.

You're welcome my friend.
It’s funny our thoughts are kind of spiritual in the sense they are invisible but can be heard. So for me the end is the end so I’m going to crawl back into my agnostic dwelling, meditate and dream of a second place called beyond retirement.
