someday soon

someday soon

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

someday soon

hallways

the clicking sound

high heeled intention

dresses floating

rustling

impasse imposes

the balance is off

tripping on established norms

ice age implements

still exist

when they melt

the hallways will become

rivers of acknowledgment

currenting in the

right direction.

I always walk away from your poetry with great optimism and a touch of humanity. May it always serve others as well!

If it can do that...I am more than pleased...
I think we write to serve in some way...

I feel this poem is about getting attention for women's injustice in academia. I feel the author is acknowledging discrimination in positions, salaries and promotions. I could be wrong. Awesome and worthy...

Wow! I figured. You are welcome sir Jacob.
I detected some optimism here J. May those hallways see better days and warmer climes. The title Someday Soon is one which is hopeful. You deserve success always, with both your writing and your friendships.

A poem that filled me with hope and optimism. I hope a poet achieves well deserved acknowledgment and greatness.

Beautifully written.
