imagining oils

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

imagining oils

show me the color

of your sadness

and I will crayon mine

to blend

together, our drawing

will assuage

the feelings

until the signatures dry.

This blending of sorrows and tears is so beautiful, even if fleeting or in passing. Sharing as they say, halves the pain and doubles the joys, so it's not only noble but wise and practical too.

Your pen has such an awesome paintbrush attached to it.

thank you, DIVYA,

This is beautiful. A feeling of closeness, a sure bond built on something like sadness. But it feels even stronger, like the signatures drying is a confirmation of the relationship staying forever. I really loved the metaphors you used and the imagery that was painted. Thank you for sharing.

thank you for your very kind review, Vertigo.

Wow! J.! That is powerful stuff and hard hitting articulation. The blending and drying and the explosion of colours; that sends a rush in the reading that may not be so easily assuaged!
