imagining oils

imagining oils

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

imagining oils

show me the color

of your sadness

and I will crayon mine

to blend

together, our drawing

will assuage

the feelings

until the signatures dry.

Seems an explantion of empathy. I will not own your sadness but will blend with it and understand it takes time to mend.

Gee
Over the past 4 years I seem to have lived large parts of my life coloured by blues and blacks, as I suppose many have.
Would be a good thing if medical science could develop a cure for aching, broken hearts.

I don't think you're saying misery loves company, although that could be one interpretation. Perhaps a better one would be the suffering know best how to comfort the suffering.

spot on, sir.
thank you,

Truly beautiful sentiment here J. Sharing a sorrow can certainly help alleviate some of the sadness. A poem of compassion and empathy. Such a gem.
