filaments and the power of attorney in the sky

filaments and the power of attorney in the sky

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

filaments and the power of attorney in the sky

i have been heir

to a fortune of friends

comrades in the will of sustenance

money and possessions

are grave misconceptions

if we think our mortal souls inherit

just another unsigned deed

filed in some cloud

of cumulus thinking

What was said after all of the town folk came to his aid. "My brother, George Bailey...the richest man in town" (or something like that). We inherit the power to be kind and make friends, because good friends are the greatest wealth you can have. It's a wonderful poem! : )

they sure are, thank you, will,

We inherit a given time to celebrate a life, our life, to live within our means and although insignificant compared to the bigger picture, the universe , how lucky we are to be part of it no matter how small. Our possessions are just a by product that serves us well to be handed down to help those in the family tree and maybe remembered by. This is where the write took me.

All of these threads of life are connecting us to something richer than the material things we worship. I do not know what the reward will be but I wonder if our real inheritance is simply this earth and the opportunity to live upon it. Thought provoking words, Jacob.

We will inherit the Wind… our Spirits will Sing 🎶 like Beverly Sills and Wills will be like Willows swaying in the Breeze of passionate Whippoorwills . Amen. Pat

In the big picture money and possessions don’t bring happiness, lucky though the man or woman who is rich with friends. They will never be lonely.

George Baily would attest to that.
thank you, Chris,

That unsigned deed must never be taken for granted. It could be the making and breaking of us. We must store our riches in the right places and keep the power of attorney in the sky updated. Loved your words here.
