the problem is, as always, not the technology. it only allows us to manifest our own, often base, nature.
undeniably, cyber space is a breeding ground of narcissism, but people will go to any length to find...love/romance/or whatever we call it...a connection...

These words describe virtual love perfectly. There is something profoundly deficient in virtual love and I have never truly believed in it. I think the real can never replace the virtual when it comes to love.
A beautiful poem, dear friend.

Cyberspace love is certainly an interesting topic for a poem! I guess it is possible if the people involved are genuine in their intentions and have the means to make a go of it. It's a small world after all. That being said, there are so many perverts, scammers and weirdo's online nowadays that the risk is very high that a virused heart will be the final outcome. Such an original idea, Jacob, and well written as always.❤
Cyberspace love has room for predators, traps, hacks and disappointments. Not that I have used these sites but an impression one would get because societies values are not of integrity, respect and honour these days. If it’s too good to be true it probably is!

yes, too good to be true, andrew,
thank you for your words,
j.
I initially found myself thinking of the 90's movie "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks. Romance budding via shared messages.
I enjoyed your imagery and words here J - thank you for sharing your creative poetry!

ah, I loved that dog, Brinkley...
thank you, Elaine,

I can possibly see how it is possible to have cyber romance. I mean, if you are a poet and know the right words, you might be able to set a heart aflutter. Cyber sex is another matter. Deletion would be akin to castration.
Will rebooting help the system sir Jacob as with computers. I virtually like this. May you click on the keys of survival and tab down to another life.
Awesome...
