Far Cry

Far Cry

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Far Cry

I felt Poland under the sheets

the bombs burst under my skin

she was so beautiful and close

And in the end, did you give her a missile?

maybe she gave me one...I think,
thanks, John,

The title could be interpreted many ways.
This poem is like an ink blot test. The reader will tell you much from their interior far more than the poet has intended to say.

Curiously thinking in this one.

Scott.

The chemistry of love making under the sheets. How the fireworks go off in a wonderful display of affection.

This one lost me, though that is very easy to do with me. I get the obvious, it is probably about the wayward bomb in Poland but something tells me that is not it at all or it really isn't about Poland, maybe the surprise of the bomb or the fear it caused but where does beauty come into play except the beauty of two countries, one once peaceful and the other hoping to remain that way being destroyed by the ugly that is war. Oh well...still I like your style, I like how it always makes me think.

When the demons are going forward. Can they be stopped? Powerful poetry shared Jacob. I didn't know was hit by a Russian. The world should worry. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome Jacob.
The killing freeze turned into such heat!
Sometimes we don't mind being blown away to bits by such beauty.

Very interesting and curious poem my friend. I want to ask what inspired this and get more background but I also want to be able to decipher it myself. Perhaps it was inspired by the two stray (or not stray?) Russian missiles that hit Poland... This poem is like holding Poland the country close, but perhaps Poland- the woman
