Dress up

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Dress up

a very loose-fitting metaphor

shrinking to appear

on a gaunt poet's anatomy

tailored to tarry about

making some sense

when tied together

to suit an idea.

Good morning dear Jacob,
Another one of your very clever and so well written poems… full of fabulous metaphors… which I so love.the blending of one thought and in your closing line you ever so cleverly bring it all together.
Really such a great poem to read early this morning as I await my first cup of delicious cappuccino..
