Clothes do not make the man, they say. However, attire can influence attitude. So, man and his creation, his "suit", create and influence each other. Another quote comes to mind: "Words fit thoughts like a straitjacket."
Dressing up has such immense potential.
The gaunt poet would look great in just about anything fashioned out of the loose-fitting metaphor.
After all, he is a superb tailor as well!
Again, you are approaching the territory of Hulme and Lawrence and Pound and Eliot and Doolittle and Williams. It suits you, once you take it in a little. A clever metaphor of a metaphor.
Again I say, congratulations.
dear Jacob… a Belt around our Suit or Dress will keep us secure to weather the Storms of Uncertainty. The Idea of a well-fitting Metaphor is something to explore. gently, Pat
