I am getting a quite strong vibe of T.E. Hulme in this offering, Jacob. I've been a big admirer of Hulme who could say so much with so little, as do you. Congrats.
I like it when you write a poem I read several ways.
It’s part of the quality of your work I think to find you let the reader decide where to pause and what to connect where.
It really Matt we ta in life where we place the emphasis of all the happenings to reach our meanings.
Thank you fir sharing Jacob.
dear Jacob… it is that time of year when we know there will be Frost on the Pumpkin.. where even Love feels the Chill… wrapped in Sweaters and needing to be Held in the Warmth of Romantic Overtures… the Fires of Autumn begin to fade and we are made to be Brave and let Nature have it’s Way… when the Moon is casting it’s Spell. tenderly, Pat

Nature will have its way, regardless.
thank you, Pat,

very much enjoy the duality of this poem J. on one hand the straight forward expression of an unrequited love, but on a metaphorical level it is a splendid look inside the writer's frustration of an empty page
