new pen, old love

new pen, old love

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

new pen, old love

intuitively
i wrote you into my heart
knowing my pen
would run out of ink
long after your love
ran its course of allure for me
intuitively

This is beautiful. Someone said something like..
"If I were a star and you were a star and I would wink at you and I would blink at you and twinkle at you and all the earthlings would call it science"

But again when pens run out of ink, and life runs out of love...it is painful

yes, wink, wink...
we are all stars in our own right.
Thank you, Ayesha

I sometimes love the briefest poems - they hit the mark and this one did. it just stands so strong in its short yet powerful description of what we use in comparison to what is non material in our life and yet can move us so much more.

Even when logically we know a relationship won't last, we go full speed ahead. Damn the torpedoes! Years later we might still remember and pen a romantic ditty about the one who got away. Lydi**

and we remember being hit by those torpedoes...

Gut feelings should not be ignored. We sometimes get into relationships that will falter even when something tells us to hold off. I wonder if any of Trump's exes had such feelings, and if they did, did they give a damn.

I wonder the same thing.

Intuitively, we know some things are too beautiful to last even though we want them to, with all our being. We write them into our heart. This is so beautifully written.

Boy, I know this feeling. Sort of glad to know I am not alone...sort of. Nicely expressed Jacob. Thankfully it is much easier to get a new pen.

G2 fine blue ink pens are Cool… gentle and reliable. Easy to hold and express sentiments when Winter appears and Stars light the Night.

I once celebrated an old love of mine lasting longer than my work pen and took her out for a slap up meal, giving her flowers.
Before the meal was over, she said I was acting weird, accused me of cheating and we split before dessert.
I'm sure there's something to be learned in that, other than never act happy around them, but I can't fir the life of me figure out what it could be. 😉
