one of the many thoughts I had while reading this wonderful poem Jacob, is that emotions may not be interred, they can be tempered and steeled so that when they erupt the target is science/reality based and not fantasy/myth/conspiracy based... a genuine revolution is neither coup nor insurrection/rebellion, it is the conscious act of millions with a clear strategy and goals that benefit the vast majority of people... might does not make right and the way we fight has to be consistent with the goals we aim for....
what happens when a dream is too long differed??? as Langston Hughes wrote, it explodes.... let's work to make sure that explosion gets rid of the oppression and horrors people face....

My mind is always surfing and never to good places Jacob.
"they resurrect in disbelief
stampede from hearts
congealed in rebellion"
I did like the above lines. Our rebellion minds, always fighting things we cannot win. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

What a great title dear J. Surfing the edge of reality. I am loving that title.
emotions can not be interred, how right you are, as long as you are living anyway, and your second stanza is awesome. Whether in grief or love, they can return like the ebb and flow of the tides and with varying intensity. Another great write from the master of metaphor.
