Over EasyA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
Brooklyn eccentricities woman with auburn locks predisposed to a white line or two a lover or two heart infested with harsh memories a father who bent the rules emotions turned into a corpse a headstone with magnetic blue eyes she walks ahead a hand to hold hidden in a coat pocket safe, tears behind bars she will not set them free and that ties her to a cell maybe another white line or two and then a solo drive to anywhere west and a new state of acceptance of herself, where she can dance pirouettes in April and forget old men who eat bullets as they drink wine for breakfast. erin-cilberto 4/6/2022 © 2022 jacob erin-cilberto |
