Do I hear writers block? yet I also hear something deeper. sometimes we read others' words and being stunned how they express us and we never had that courage to write so, to reveal ourselves into papers with no fear, no judgements but with self worth and self respect.
Shame is not something I would consider would be on your mind when I read your poetry J. Consistently producing in your own unique way such incredible variety you should always have a strong feeling of pride my dear friend. Whenever I read you my mind travels and often in many directions.
A rule of thumb is that we act in accordance with the information we have at the time. Shame is only good for education's sake. Otherwise, it is a waste of consciousness.

I think your comment is spot on,
thank you, John,

Have you started publishing them anonymously now? That sort of defeats the pride of it doesn't it? Eh, no matter, if you write it I'm certain it will be worth reading. Like reading Richard Bachman and thinking he writes an awful lot like Stephen King. (laughing) I have to say I've never understood the alternate ego, pseudonym, nom de plume, incognito, sobriquet thing. I'd ask Samuel Langhorne Clemens but I'm afraid he's been gone too long. I do remember he said, "Always respect your superiors; if you have any." So that's my exit strategy. leaving the proper respect behind to keep your abandoned pride company. I enjoyed.

I'm glad you're always you. I like you just the way you are. ;)
When you look in the mirror you know you have lived a good life. You know no one owes you anything and you owe no one a debt. Your ink is very special, Jacob. You should have pride in it. Hubris is not always a negative trait. Lydi**
Yes, this is so true.
Blinded by my own ink... great line Jacob..
But then again rereading this several times i find more and more meaning in your words..
Interesting topic.. Pride and Shame..
