You are absolutely right, Jacob. Unfortunately, there will always be those who decide they want to get the site riled up. Cherie certainly did nothing wrong. Why not share poetry we love with others? As long as the poet is given credit, no harm, no foul. Lydi**
A non-sequitur comment on my part... but a tribute to Emily who created a poem with feathery feelings. We are all the better for having read her words. gently, Pat
I love to invite my feathered friends to a Buffet of seeds that tantalize the Beak with nutty flavors and Sunflower seed oiled to perfection... sprinkled with red raspberries.... goblets of rain water with love and chirps of laughter. I am the Benefactor of the day before tomorrow where Nests lie on branches of Spring blossoms... a retreat for turquoise eggs to dream of Easter cracklings when baby birds burst through the Risen Sunbeams to a promised Resurrection. gently, Pat
Cannot understand the fuss. The complainant and her own wee clique probably like the sound of their own voices. I'll no doubt find out of this read by Miss M :)
Sharing favorite works of authors, never a misuse.
Especially when the proper credit is given.
I will leave all comments on this page up. But again, sharing favorite poems from the 1800's does not show a lack of creativity and ideas, especially when this poet has continually posted her own work in poems and stories, and is quite creative in her own right.
Couldn't understand what the fuss was about. Pleased for your clarification J. I have seen many poets share the work of the greats on lots of poetry sites. It has never been an issue before. Appreciate you posting your link.

She is still incorrect. Cherrie gave the credit for who the actual poet is.
And it is sad that someone would slander another with unfounded accusations.
and slandering a really good person and poet like that? Nothing better to do, I guess.

Sadly there are some with nothing better to do. They seek controversy. and attention.
What? Is something going on? Certainly nobody thinks the poem was hijacked or shanghaied; kidnapped or held for ransom? I have one of Emily's lesser known works pasted right on my profile. I'm glad there are poets here willing to share the poetry that inspires or motivates them. It, at least, shows an interest in great poets and poetry. But I'm curious as to why it would be an issue or why anyone would complain about it or if they have. Did they? I'm always the last to hear the gossip; possibly because I offer an honest opinion on everything, including gossip mongers.

We have a poetic misanthrope in our midst. I venture that we grant them no safe passage or harbor. Personally, I love the Belle enough to have named my youngest daughter after her and Miss Bronte. On a lighter note, one of my favorite poems by Emily Jane Bronte is "Now Trust a Heart that Trusts in You".

Thank you j. For clarification and proof there was no copyright infringement. I think it’s wonderful to share what moves us and the work that got writers hooked and on this journey of beautiful expression Hugs! ;)
