Didn’t mean to sound flippant. It’s a very provocative poem j. and I love that about it.
The decision. The end. Move on.
To me this poem spoke of something final bringing to end something prolonged. Be it life or be it a poem. There is no looking back after the decision, of course.

Been in that closet, Jacob. It's dark and reeks of poetic frustration. Needless to say, I made my decision that day and put the poem down. Probably for the best, too. I should have written a follow up poem with an alibi. Clever write, my friend. A brevity of brilliance.⚘

A poem like this was once read in one of my highschool English classes. Days later, news of a tragedy swept through the halls. The author had taken his own life.
