OMG J.... So funny you use he word fossilized... because my husband (who is a vigorous 86) says that all over 85 are fossils, 75-85 are ancients!!! Love this poem and love is what you make of it....
Best, B

thank you, Betty...if your husband is still vigorous, no way he is a fossil.

This made me laugh, Jacob. I recently read an extremely ridiculous piece of prose on another writing site, where the author strangely argues that it was God /Allah that wiped out the dinosaurs because they were encroaching on habitats that were supposed to be for human population. Apparently the meteor didn't exist at all. Not sure where they got that theory from! Anyway, this poem has another clever metaphor, yet judging by your poetry and the rate at which you produce the poems, it's highly unlikely you are fossilized and definitely no dinosaur. Clever writing, as always. ⚘

thank you, Jamila.
there are different theories as to how the Dinosaurs became extinct, but I doubt God did it...he wouldn't annihilate creatures like that.
Remember the Movie with Cary Grant “Bringing up Baby”.. in the end Katherine climbs up the Dinosaur and all the Bones come tumbling down… but She got her Man…. gently, Pat

Love it...the two different lions, Baby and the bad one...and that poor dinosaur at the end.
they were good together...and she did comedy so well...I feel she was the best actress ever, with Meryl Streep and Ingrid Bergman close.
thanks for that memory, Pat,
