"That'll be the day that I die." Or the way Don McClean penned it in American Pie, the day the music died. So sad. Another great loss was Patsy Cline 4 years later. I still play her music on CD in the car. Great write Jacob.

thank you for getting how this was a punch in the gut.
I had Buddy's music on 45's as they came out back in the fifties...and I have a Patsy Cline CD of her greatest hits that I have nearly worn out...and I am not really a country fan...she is one of the exceptions.
what a voice...I liked Gogi Grant's voice too, especially Wayward Wind.
thank you, Fabian...so haunting in the Buddy Holly Story how they depict his last concert and then put up on the screen about how he died later that night.
what a genius, musically...and only 22...
