I remember that pink dress well, although it showed up in monochrome on my TV set. I was told it was pink in the newspaper columns. I will never forget that day. We all cried at home. The brutality of the event, shocking in my youthful innocence. If it was summer I would pick roses for them, but it is winter and we have no roses and is ice cold today. So I hold them in my thoughts, and their children too and wish that history wasn't so cruel.

History can be so cruel and unfortunately, we don't learn from our mistakes.

Yeahh lets pick a few more roses while we can, earthly roses. I mean i hope and expect heaven is full of flowers too
Your poem is awesome, vibrant and i like how you used the words 'barges, dirges and surges in fine rhythmic inner rhyme type pattern which altogether gives it a fab flow! Kudos for this superb muse!!

I haven't even begun to think about 2022. Forget about those 2021 lists, too. I kinda hate this aspect of the calendar flip. But you manage to make it feel so fine . . . flirty & full of promise (((HUGS)))

I feel the anticipation of the New Year approaching and the reality of the hour ticking on and on. It is a fleeting life and one that is short indeed. We all go through stages in life and dramatic changes, too. Pink dress must be significant to the poet at hand.
Hopefully the roses are for someone special and not for a service.
