raging with each heartbeat

raging with each heartbeat

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

raging with each heartbeat

tantrums

of ripping out pages of my life

lighter fluid splattered

on the days to forget

the burning memories

charcoal briquettes

engaged in battle

the flames rise higher

than my aptitude

for reasoning love

and spelunking the darkest

intimacy

that caused me to disdain the moon

see the reflection on the pond's glass night

and finally understand

why the tips of the blaze

color themselves blue,

smile, while

counting the pages

with me.

Let it go, let it go, let it melt like winter snow.

Betrayal sucks, always will. That's what this poem reminds me of.

Let those pages that still bother be put on the bonfire of history.

The blue is the hottest part of the flame. Strange that isn't it when blue is the colour we feel when things are upside down and inside out?

Felt the heat of the rage here J.
