i took out a reverse mortgage on my poem

had some extra words to work with

didn't have to pay extreme monthly emotions

 

made my poem worth a bit more

but when it came time for me to expire

the confusion of syllables 

summoned me a lawyer in verse

 

to figure out what i died owing

to that Great Bard in the sky.

I personally didn't think you were in a position requiring taking out a reverse mortgage on your poetry. But I suppose times are hard. I just refinanced on my house for a lower interest rate a couple of days ago, so this made me smile. So incredibly clever.

You have the knack of turning language on its head... and somewhere, not near behind or in front, are the day to day complexities.. the frustration, the needs, the give back but never receive in logic and creativity. Your mind must dance a dervish twist and turn.. not a case of give and ye shall receive but a hey take an interest but don't expect your letter swill become gold edged. Perhaps? Not lately but I love e.e. "in just spring" or anytime.
I like that..."deregulated poetry, stupid big poetry banks taking over.

Well you need a poetic advisor...but don't go to Merrill Lynch....they really screwed over my parents...
Go all in on Boston Market said they...
My folks lost their shirts.
But they never understood poetry much...so maybe it didn't hurt too badly.
