Blue GrassA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoBlue Grass Kentucky poet, in a slipstream of blond kaleidoscope her words of a countryside painting a segue to understanding the romance in a
pasture of frolicking children as the autumn leaves cascade as if on some Coney Island Wonder Wheel of fortune, her words shape the state of mind for a reader escaping the intrusive city life the harsh lines and stanzas of abusive life in
the streets to bask where there are no "streets" just back roads and back stories her blond wisps stranding against her poems in the dusk by candlelight she writes a poem a day in the loft with her cheeky grin as she composes her symphony maybe the unfinished one she will leave for us to punctuate when her pages fly like swallows over the old barn where she gathered then lost her youth but gave us verse to explain our own years with delicate pen pricks of savvy surveillance. erin-cilberto 1/19/2021 © 2021 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
