Thank you, Sima...yes my curiosity peeked as how each reader would fill in those blanks.

I admire & agree with all your optimistic reviewers, but me being jaded, I'm seeing this as a spoof on women who are never okay with whatever compliment a man tries to cough up, the kind of woman who wants to write BOTH sides of the conversation. I have five older sisters so controlling, they made me afraid to get married & turn into one of them. I think you might've met one or two in your long fruitful search to couple *wink! wink!* fondly, Margie
Sometimes the genius is in the things we allow to be filled in by imagination. After all, sometimes the things we imagine about a great love are beyond what the love itself can provide. If the lover allows the words to always remain in process, so to speak, then the future remains open to fullness and development. A cool concept, Jacob. Always enjoy your creativity.

Thank you for your insights, my friend,

clever. i don't think there really are sufficient words to describe true love. can't ask for anything more than one giving it their best. maybe einstein had a formula for it. would be an interesting exercise to have people fill in the blank ... :)

I am sure you do understand, Coyote...
I appreciate your words,

Very witty and creative poem, Jacob! At least the Poetry Police can't pull you up for this one and those blanks can always be filled in with the appropriate word as the mood dictates! Such a fun read! :))
